In the fight to protect and expand voting rights, it’s dedicated supporters that have fueled the NAACP’s greatest successes. And thanks to this amazing grassroots network that we’ve been able to raise an incredible $25,000 since Sunday morning - that’s almost HALF of our shortfall!
In the past year alone, over 440 new voting restrictions were introduced in 49 states and 34 new laws passed in 19 states to make it harder to vote. With redistricting wrapping up, more and more discriminatory congressional maps are being proposed across America.
And just two weeks ago, a federal judge declared that the NAACP cannot file lawsuits to enforce the Voting Rights Act.
Make no mistake: with our voting rights under siege, the NAACP remains on the frontlines to combat these attacks.
But we’re less than 48 HOURS away from the end of Black History Month, and we’re facing a $55,000 budget shortfall! We need your help to close this gap and fund our critical work around the country.
